Archbishop - Anthony K. Jeffery is a native of Bainbridge, Georgia. Archbishop- Jeffery comes from a heritage of gospel preachers and raised by his god-fearing mother whereby he learned the virtues of a Christian life such as prayer and fasting. At the age of four, the late Bishop H.L. Jones, First Born Church of the Living God, who was moved by the Holy Ghost to lay his hand on him and prayed, encouraging his mother by saying that “the hand of God is on his live. It was prayer that covered his life the several times the enemy sought to destroy it through sudden sickness, severely bitten by stray dogs, and deep chest injuries all before the age of ten.
At the age of 13 he was selected by the Ward Chapel A.M.E church to lead their youth and continue working with youth today. In 1982 he yielded unto the call of God to ministry. From the onset of his ministry, he has built Youth and Sunday School Departments. His core of leadership has been instrumental to leaders and the development of leaders around the world.
His ministerial progression includes serving as National and Jurisdictional Evangelist (C.O.G.I.C)., and District
Secretary. Bishop Jeffery has served as the “Chief Operations Officer”, First Assistant to the Presiding Bishop,
Episcopal Region Bishop, and as the General Secretary. Establishing “Evangelistic Crusades, Inc. a Tent Crusade 0utreach Ministry. His Pastoral assignments include Navcams Eastpac Pentecostal Assembly, New Kings Temple COGIC, and Emmanuel Ministries of Wholeness, Inc.
In 2012, Bishop Jeffery was installed to the office of Overseer. March 22, 2014, Bishop Jeffery was Episcopal
Consecrated into the sacred office of “Bishop” in the Lord’s Church, with Apostolic Succession through the Joint College of African-American Pentecostal Bishops. In 2015 The Greater Horizon Christian Fellowship of Churches and Ministries, Inc. was established, and in 2017 he was Enthroned as the Chief Apostle, Presiding Prelate. On October 16th,2022, Bishop Jeffery was elected and consecrated into the Episcopal office of the Archbishop by the
International Body of the College of Bishops. Archbishop Jeffery holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Relations from Point University, WestPoint, Georgia, formerly known as Atlanta Christian College, and a Master of Religious Leadership from Emory- Chandler School of Theology, Atlanta, Georgia.
In February 2015 Bishop Jeffery received “The Coweta County 2014 Citizen of the Year Award,” from the “Fayetteville- Coweta Chapter of Theta Lambda Lambda Omega Psi Phi Fraternity's. After fourteen years, together they continue to serve the Coweta County Juvenile Justice Court System as Certified CASA’s (Court Appointed Special Advocates) which represents the best interests of abused and neglected children in foster care.
Today, Archbishop Jeffery and his wife of twenty-six years, Evangelist/ First Lady Mother Gloria J. Jeffery work harmoniously together in the ministry of the Lord and the community. Archbishop and Mother Jeffery have two wonderful sons, Bryan (Devon) and Joseph, and their three precious fur-babies.
